![]() Tour Edge placed their “VIBRCOR” TPU material into two different places of the hollow head so the feel is cleaner and more “pure”. While companies have had success utilizing “materials injected into hollow irons” for a bit now, the C721 is Tour Edge’s first. Like I said before, the Tour Edge Exotics C721 irons really are a first for the brand. ![]() While a very contemporary look, the aesthetic is tasteful and dare I say it…somewhat elegant. Rather than make the “shiny parts” polished chrome, they have a more matte finish to reduce glare and wear better over time. From that perspective, the C721 irons are a really good looking “PDI” iron. If you’re a tenured player’s distance iron golfer, you know this what you should expect. I’d put the topline on the medium side, but it has a nice roll to it so it doesn’t come off as bulky. Right between the player’s and GI categories in my opinion. You’re not going to mistake them for the EXS Pro blades, but the head length and offset is moderate. That’s exactly how I’d describe Tour Edge’s C721 irons. That said, I want a more compact head length from heel to toe, a nice shape, minimal offset, and nothing more than a medium topline. In my opinion, it’s hard to really accomplish both of those things and recreate a “blade” look by any means. In theory, the irons are supposed to have a lot of game improvement (GI) features, but with the look and feel of a player’s iron. “Player’s distance irons” is always a bit of a weird category for me. By introducing Diamond Face 2.0 and the new VIBRCOR technology to their irons, Tour Edge has truly taken another big leap in their modern club designs. (He finished T-2 after an unfortunate water ball.) The innovative C721 (“C” stands for “competitive”) irons are a first of its kind from Tour Edge and designed to be a player’s distance iron with more traditional looks and great feel. “The officials have not even briefed us about the future plans. These irons recently popped up all over the place after golf-legend John Daly put a full set of the new Tour Edge Exotics C721 irons in his bag the week of the 2021 Insperity Invitational on the Champions Tour. “I am losing my patience,” said Maharaj Singh Negi, whose brother Gabbar Singh is among the trapped workers. ![]() He said two doctors at the disaster site were ensuring the workers’ physical and mental well-being and that they have supplied them with vitamins and tablets to treat anxiety.īut as the rescue operation stretches into its eighth day, families of those stuck underground are growing more worried, frustrated and angry. Oxygen supply is being administered through a separate pipe.ĭoctors, officials and relatives were in constant touch with the workers, said Patwal, the disaster management official. Vijay Singh, an official at the control room, said they had also extended the pipe installed inside the tunnel through which the trapped workers were receiving food like nuts, roasted chickpeas, popcorn, and other essential items. One challenge, however, is that drilling from the top means they would need to dig 103 meters (338 feet) to reach the trapped workers - nearly double than if they carried on digging from the front.Īuthorities were also contemplating drilling from the sides and the ends of the tunnel, Khulbe said. This method, experts hope, would lead to less debris falling. Khalko said drilling vertically from the top of the hill could also cause additional debris, but that they would opt for a specific technique designed for drilling through overburdened soil conditions where unstable ground make traditional methods more difficult. The machine has a drilling capacity of up to 5 meters (16 feet) per hour and is equipped with a 99-centimeter (3.2-foot) diameter pipe to clear debris. The tunnel is part of the busy Chardham all-weather road, a flagship federal project connecting various Hindu pilgrimage sites.Ībout 200 disaster relief personnel have been at the site using drilling equipment and excavators in the rescue operation, with the plan being to push 80-centimeter-wide (2.6-foot-wide) steel pipes through an opening of excavated debris.Īnshu Manish Khalkho, director at NHIDCL, said that after they paused the drilling on Saturday experts became concerned the drilling machine’s high-intensity vibrations could cause more debris to fall and hinder efforts. Highway and building construction has been constant to accommodate the influx. The site is in Uttarakhand, a mountainous state dotted with Hindu temples that attract many pilgrims and tourists. ![]()
